 Gus and I moved
to our 40 acres in 1985. We both loved animals and began acquiring our
menagerie very soon after that. We started with the usual
assortment of animals, dogs, horses, and cats. In 1988, we wanted
something different to add to our little group and brought home some one
month old baby emu. I thought he was crazy because we didn't know
what to feed them, nor did we know anyone to ask. Needless to say,
the emus survived and so did we.
Gus believed in the emus, he could see the need for the products. Gus passed away in 1995 before we could see our dreams become reality. I have continued working toward the dream we shared. In 1997, the Pankau's and I decided that if we wanted this dream to fly, we had to do it ourselves. That was the beginning of Diamond Emu Products. We have worked very hard to bring knowledge about the facts and many uses of emu oil to the buying public. We will keep spreading the good word. My part of this website is dedicated in memory of my loving husband, Gus, who would be very proud of the Three of us. In
